Web PeninsulaOn Friday 24th January our Managing Director (Ms.Karen Hughes) HR Officer (Mr.Garry      Stamford) and Finance Manager (Miss.Lydia Hughes) attended an update seminar with  Pensinsula Business Services at Ruthin Castle Hotel. The speaker was Mrs.Amanda Chadwick, a  highly respected broadcaster and international speaker covering a wide number of subjects.

We covered many topics throughout the day and found the content of the seminar beneficial  as always.  We’ve been a Peninsula customer for around 7 years now and are always keen to  keep up to date with all the employment law developments relevent to our business.

Christmas dinners all round….

old lady eating christmas dinner Michael Phillips Care Agency Ltd are delighted to announce that this year Ms.Belinda Ward has arranged for many of our elderly and lonely clients to receive a freshly cooked three course Christmas Dinner on Christmas day. The meals will be cooked and supplied by Front Room in Rhyl and delivered personally by Belinda Ward. We’d like to congratulate Belinda for her dedication to ensuring many of our lonely clients don’t go without a Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day and I’m sure those receiving them would like to extend the same gratitude to both Belinda and Front room.  We were pleased to receive our Employer Pledge Award Wales in
February 2013.

The Deputy Minister for Skills, Jeff Cuthbert, presented our Employer  Pledge award for our commitment in supporting essential skills training for our workforce, at the Essential Skills in the Workplace awards event, held in February at Llandrillo College. The Employer Pledge is a national strategy allowing employers to show their support for employees wanting to improve their literacy and numeracy skills. At Michael Phillips Care Agency Ltd, we are dedicated to the continued personal development of all our staff.

Dignity in Care Awareness Training

One of our in-house trainers, Marie Evans, delivered an awareness session today, entitled ‘Dignity in Care’, to a group of our employees.

Employees attend relevant training as part of their own learning and development, and, our commitment to on-going training ensures we maintain and improve knowledge and skills throughout the workforce.

Today I’d like to thank and congratulate Ms.Jayne Haimes, my  Senior Care Manager for her dedication and continued support  over the last 10 years with Michael Phillips Care Agency Ltd.  Jayne started working for me in 2003 as a home carer and has  progressed through training and development to her current  position as my trusted colleague and right hand (wo)man.  The  entire team and myself wish Jayne every success over her  next 10 years with Michael Phillips Care Agency Ltd as we  continue to expand.
