Michael Phillips Care Agency Ltd were pleased to be able to contribute over £180 worth of toys to the Heulwen Day Unit, at the North Wales Cancer Centre based at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd.

We raised the money by arranging a staff boot sale, which was held over a four week period in the staff room at Michael Phillips Care Agency Ltd.
One of our employees, Mrs. Leeane Parry, pictured with her partner Steve, underwent a period of treatment at the Cancer Centre over recent months. We asked Leeane what she thought the day unit was in need of, and she told us, there were only a few children’s activities and toys available for attending families, and that the children would benefit from more toys to play with whilst family members underwent treatment.
Sister Julie Farrell, also pictured with some of Heulwen day units’ excellent team, was delighted when we phoned and asked if we could purchase some new children’s toys for the waiting room areas, to supplement those which were already there. We wish the Heulwen Day Unit every success for the future.
